Cremant d`Alsace, Blanc Brut, Cuvee Julien NV

Dopff au Moulin, Alsace, France, Pinot Blanc, Auxerois

Carolyn Evans-Hammond says Much like many Champagnes, this wine smells biscuity and buttery with nutty nuances. On the palate, ripe green apple flavours rounded out by butter and toasty flavours make for a balanced, elegant drink. It is crisp and bone dry. Refreshing.

Carolyn Evans-Hammond's Score 84
    Cremant d`Alsace, Calixte Brut NV

Cave de Hunawihr, Alsace, France, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Auxerois

Carolyn Evans-Hammond says On the nose, aromas of fresh bread and butter predominate. Then, when you take a sip, your mouth explodes with fizz. Not a delicate bead at all. When the foam subsides, dilute flavours of citrus fresh bread remains. Not a pleasant bubbly experience.

Carolyn Evans-Hammond's Score 65
