Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose NV

Champagne, France, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meurnier, Chardonnay

Carolyn Evans-Hammond says Smells just like freshly baked buttery brioche and cherry pie filling. Enticing, assertive nose leads to a broad palate of the same that lingers on and on. Fleshy yet taut, fresh and fruity attack. Balanced. Long. Unlike other pink bubblies from Champagne, this is not a light wine. It feels rich with a medium body bursting with flavour. Almost didn't want to dip into my bowl of popcorn--my favourite accompaniment to Champagne. Delish.

Carolyn Evans-Hammond's Score 91
    Brut Rosé NV

Jacquesson, Champagne, France, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier

Carolyn Evans-Hammond says This salmon coloured wine exudes the faintest aroma of cream and strawberries and on the palate, cream and strawberries mingle with flavours of gala apples. Elegant, delicate, refreshing, but lacking the complexity or length to make it very good value for money (28 pounds per bottle).

Carolyn Evans-Hammond's Score 71
